One of the greatest joys of staying at Hales is the ability to walk out of any gate and immerse yourself in the glorious Norfolk countryside. Surrounded, as we are by acres and acres of meadowland and arable fields, you can head out to enjoy some wonderful fresh air and breath-taking landscapes. The easiest circuit is a 15-minute perimeter of our grounds or for a little more effort a 40-minute lap of Hales Common carpeted in buttercups is a must. For the more adventurous still there are multiple circular walks we can introduce you to along a network of picturesque footpaths.
Experience the thrill of firing a gun and hitting clay after clay in our beautiful grounds in the safe hands of the team from the Philip Thorrold Shooting Academy. These champion marksmen and women will provide all the guidance and equipment you need, including mobile clay traps on remote control, clay targets from multiple angles and speeds, safety goggles and ear defenders.
