Theme – A love of music and romance inspired the theme for Emma and Greg’s wedding and celebrations at Hales Hall & The Great Barn. Emma and Greg said ‘I do’ surrounded by 170 friends and family at Hales Hall & The Great Barn on a perfect summer day in June. Clear blue sky and sunshine welcomed guests to the beautiful walled gardens as they enjoyed reception drinks and music on the lawns.
The Ceremony – The Great Barn was simply stunning, candlelit the vaulted ceiling was impressive and potted trees twinkled with fairy lights. It was a magical setting for their ceremony, with elegant white chairs, lanterns at every row, and beautiful exuberant floral arrangements in vintage ivory and cream with soft muted shades of greenery. “It brought a tear to my eye when we entered The Great Barn; it looked stunning and there was a wonderful atmosphere. It simply took our breath away”
Romantic setting – “Waking up on a bright summer’s day with my family at Hales Hall was such an incredible feeling. Everything was perfect, with sunshine streaming in through the windows it was such a happy day”
If music be the food of love – “Music is a big part of our lives. We named the reception tables after songs related to the guests. We wanted to ensure everyone felt included in our wedding. and we wanted the day to be fun.” A string quartet, String Infusion, played as guests arrived. During the ceremony Flow Duo sang as guests took their seats and soul singer, Iriej J, sang ‘I’m Kissing you’ by Des’ree as Emma walked down the aisle. Evening music included Ibiza hits and a DJ till late.
Vintage roses & ivory tulle – Emma chose a delicate, romantic scheme to set off the splendour of Hales Tudor setting. Her stunning dress, by Mori Lee Stephanie, had a softly pleated fitted bodice and flare in ivory tulle. Bridesmaids wore individual ivory chiffon, each with a different neckline. The theme was teamed with natural bouquets of blowsy vintage roses and small spray roses in pale cream, buttermilk and white with willow stems and soft foliage and ivy.
Emma’s top tip – “Enjoy every moment and make sure you both have time together just to take it all in. Have fun and enjoy it as it really is the best day of your life.”
