Ever since settling beside the Norfolk Broads in the early 1900’s the Mack Family have been farming the rich soil of the Yare Valley. Crops that are grown include potatoes, cereals, beans, sugar beet, and oil seed rape that is mechanically pressed to create our versatile and award winning Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil, infusions and dressings. The rich fertile soil and ideal climate of the South Norfolk Broads combine to help us produce this truly delicious oil. Being grown, harvested, pressed and bottled on the farm means our oils have full traceability. We are lucky enough to be Great Taste Award winners as well as SALSA and Red Tractor approved. As well as arable farming, cattle play a big part in day to day life here with farm reared beef, including rare breeds such as Belted Galloway being raised on the lush grazing pastures of the Yare Valley. Our cattle spend their whole lives out in our fields helping to create a wonderfully rich, succulent and tender beef with a superb quality and high grade marbling. Hung for a minimum of 30 days for a fuller flavour it is then butchered locally for only the finest cuts.
